Discussing Future Food Crisis Solutions, DNR Corporation, World Food Bank and National Food Agency Hold Audience with Presidential Staff Office

Jakarta, October 11, 2022 - DNR Corporation together with the World Food Bank and the Indonesian National Food Agency held an audience with the Indonesian Presidential Staff Office to discuss solutions to handling the food crisis that is expected to occur in various parts of the world in the next few years.

The threat of a food crisis was triggered by the current global situation, including the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic, the Russia - Ukraine war which caused an increase in fertilizer prices, heat waves, droughts, floods and a decrease in food productivity in many countries.

The discussion held at the Binagraha Building of the Presidential Palace Complex was attended by representatives of DNR Corporation, namely Rudy Tanoesoedibjo as President Director and Inspector General Yohanes Agus Mulyono as Senior Advisor to the Board, representatives of the World Food Bank, namely Richard Lackey as Chairman and Elsie Mullers as Director of Development, Arief Prasetyo Adi, S.T, M.T as Head of the Indonesian National Food Agency and his staff, and General (Ret.) Moeldoko as Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Presidency and his staff.

To overcome the national food crisis, solid cooperation between the government, the private sector and various institutions is needed to encourage food productivity and good food stock management. The results of this discussion are expected to be taken into consideration by the Indonesian Government in anticipating the food crisis in Indonesia effectively and optimally.
